About

The Washburn Tennis program is one of the fastest-growing sports at Washburn High. Washburn Tennis promotes the principles of “Academics, Attitude, Effort & Sportsmanship” within each player. This approach is demonstrated in players’ strong leadership on and off the court, with many receiving All-Conference recognition as student athletes, as well as Academic All-State honors.

Boys Head Coach Ryan Hoag has a strong vision for the future of this program and believes there should be a place for everyone who wants to play. Coach Hoag was selected to receive the National No Cut Coach Award from the U.S. Tennis Association in 2013—a testament to his visionary leadership.

Girls take the court in the Fall. Boys compete in Spring.
